Jorge Gomez, owner of several Pagani's Zondas, Ferraris and other hypercars, having sold his Zonda and waiting for his new Utopia, requested a Special Project from Claudio Basso (former Mercedes Benz F1 engineer) on the basis of a Mercedes SL600 1993 to keep the sound of the naturally aspirated V12 alive. Immediately, the CRB High-Performance Engineering team started working on it.

Re-engineering of all 'moving' parts: crankshaft, conrods, pistons, valve train, camshafts, extensive engineering work on torsional analysis, stress, bearing loads, and simulations of models for performance and reliability.
Final results: 740 BHP at 8100 RPM and 750 Nm at 6500 RPM
